IRON Spa was founded in 1969 by Pierluigi Dalla Pace. Based in Veneto, between Venezia and the foothills of the Alps, the company produces coil processing systems of material widths from 200mm to 2000mm and thicknesses of between 0.5 and 12.5mm.
Led by the president and founder Pierluigi Dalla Pace, who was later joined by his three sons, and a culture of continuous innovation, research and design, the systems produced by IRON have transformed the cutting and handling of coil and sheet metal for the automotive, white and yellow goods/appliances, power generator and air conditioning sectors all areas where steel sheet has made its mark.
Today, IRON is a world leader in the production of customised production lines and is a European leader in the production of coil handling systems in all dimensions, including large coil handling systems for blanking lines.
IRON owes its current position to its range of customised lines, the broadest in the sector from the smallest 100mm-wide feeder to the largest systems, up to 2000mm wide. The company has seen extraordinary production growth, in its two plants in Italy, and boasts an overall production area of more than 6,500 square metres. This expansion has fuelled growth in employee numbers and continuous production growth.
The IRON success story continues with the installation of its new PUNCHPRESS AND BENDER product ranges used in the production of shaped panels of all kinds. The systems are highly flexible and offer very high production rates. IRON also has an INTERNATIONAL PATENT for its TEMNOS laser coil cutter.

Iron system are identified by unique profile, strong and aggressive. A 'perfect balance to express a discreet avant-garde and sophisticated project, but the design is not an end in itself.
The aim of the engineers in the technical office and the team of over 80 technicians, who follow the design process, is to create intelligent products in which ergonomics, simplicity of use and an eye for detail meet the essential industrial characteristics of the systems.
The company uses robots for welding metal parts, latest generation 5-axis machining centres to help guarantee the high quality of its systems, quality assurance workshops (where precision tests are carried out on the materials, the quality and tolerance of the welds, processes, painting and assembly) as well as employing a. comprehensive series of checks and inspections at 360°.

Technology and quality
Since 1969, the year in which IRON was founded, IRON has continued to meet challenges in in technology, quality and innovation.
Amongst its many successful machine tool models, some have represented important moments in the evolution of automation. The ‘pneumatic’ feeder and its subsequent hydraulic version, using ‘orbital motors’ were its most important and innovative automation systems for press feeding in the automotive sector, and were chosen by major companies (OEMs) such as Alfa Romeo.
