The automotive coil strip handling line PENTA/EPTA features a compact design, created to meet the needs of the automotive sector (especially for sheet metal fab for car builders), where high yield strength materials are used. It primarily consists of an uncoiler and a straightener/feeder. Standard features include counter-rollers, a motion distributor with homokinetic joint transmission, and motorized roller penetration.

The system is customizable, offering the client a broad range of accessory options:
Loading cradle for coils series CS and CST
Alignment slide for decoiler series SAT
Pressure arm for coil holding series SBPOM
Coil containment rollers series RLR
Head introduction group for the coil, UPR series
Hydraulic opening device for pilot head centering, ATO series - Motorized height adjustment device, RAMO series

The uncoiler

All our uncoilers are equipped with four self-centering clamps with hydraulic expansion. The diameter for handling rolls is based on the customer’s needs, typically 508 mm (20”) or 610 mm (24”). They are produced with variable capacities, for coils weighing 10, 15, 20, and 25 tons. They are equipped with an inverter and feedback encoder, allowing for controlled electric braking. They are equipped with an epicyclical reducer.
And can be supplied in a single spindle (SA) or double spindle (SAD) version.

The straightener/feeder

All our straighteners/feeders are equipped with 11 rollers, of which 2+2 are drive rollers (versions with 13 and 15 rollers are available upon request). All rollers are made of quality 100CR6 steel, hardened, and ground (hard chrome plating is available upon request). They are constructed in two diameter versions, 76 and 96 mm, and feature counter-rollers.
The feed rollers adjustment is hydraulic, while the straightening rollers penetration is motorized, with display and storage on a lectern. At the entrance of the straightener/feeder, there is a roller guide tape that maintains alignment to the mold. With manual adjustment (motorized option available). The lubrication of the counter-rollers, bearings, and all wear-prone parts is ensured by a centralized and timed lubrication system. It includes an oil bath motion distributor and roller transmission via homokinetic joints. All versions are fitted with a Siemens electronic package, consisting of KP1200 control and SIEMENS 1500 TA PORTAL PLC, a digital brushless motor, SINAMICS drive, encoder, and a 12’’ backlit LCD touch screen operator interface.
